Extended stays must be arranged at time of registration and payment must be paid in advance. Pricing for the extended stay is estimated at $318.48/night for double occupancy in an Oceanview King Room.

Those visiting Puerto Rico should reference local measures developed by the Puerto Rico Tourism Company (PRTC) to keep travelers and residents safe, such as social distancing, and high standards of cleanliness. Masks are required indoors, regardless of vaccination status. Those unvaccinated or between the ages of 2 and 11 must also wear masks in public areas when unable to social distance.

Mask usage is a federal law on airplanes and in airports. Those entering any of the Island’s three airports, whether on commercial or private aircrafts, are required to fill out a Travel Declaration Form on the Puerto Rico Health Department’s online portal which produces a QR code to proceed. Passengers must present ID to ensure alignment with the Travel Declaration Form. Fully vaccinated travelers on domestic flights:

• As of February 2nd, are no longer required to present a negative test.

• Required to upload an official vaccination card through the Travel Declaration Form portal.

  • A fully vaccinated traveler is considered to be one who has completed their series of vaccines, double or single and who has spent two weeks or more since their last dose, either with a vaccine authorized by the FDA or by the WHO. A booster is not required to enter Puerto Rico.

For non-vaccinated travelers arriving on domestic flights:

• Unvaccinated passengers arriving on domestic flights are required to show a negative COVID-19 test (antigen or PCR performed by an authorized health provider) result taken within 48 hours before arrival.

• If arriving without a test, they must upload either a PCR molecular or antigen COVID-19 test performed by an authorized health provider taken on the Island within 48 hours of arrival or receive a fine. Travelers must quarantine during this period.

• Those who do not test within the 48-hour time period are required to quarantine for 7 days.

For those who have tested positive for COVID-19 before arriving:

• Travelers who have tested positive for COVID-19 within 90 days of their entry to Puerto Rico are permitted entry only by presenting a certified medical health certificate from a doctor stating that they have fully recovered from COVID-19, along with proof of the positive test from their previous diagnosis.

• If a symptomatic traveler (a person displaying COVID-19 related symptoms) who is not vaccinated or is traveling internationally arrives on the Island, the Puerto Rico National Guard will conduct a PCR molecular COVID-19 test at the airport. The traveler must quarantine and cover their own medical expenses/possible extended stay.

  • The quarantine is mandated until the negative PCR molecular COVID-19 test results are received and digitally uploaded to the Puerto Rico Health Department’s online portal.
